This site is dedicated to the memory of Richard Hilton.

Richard Mark Hilton was born on the 17th July 1983 and passed away on New Years Eve 1987 after contracting pneumococcal meningitis. He was a very quite young boy, very loving and caring and would have turned out to be a very handsome young man. Some years after Richards death I started to volunteer for the trust and set up my own Support Group in Wakefield. Through this work I met many parents who had suffered the loss of a child and also made some very good friends along the way. I had the pleasure of meeting one gentleman who wrote a poem about Richard for me. He signed the poem Terry "B" RICHARD A bouncing baby, to your wife, Who was the be all and end all in your life. Did you ever think, a passing thought, That a little life could be so short. A Little boy, who was so divine Two types of blood, my wife's and mine. This world of ours, is just not fair. Our lives go on, without you there. Cos you have flown our little nest, But the lord above, only takes the best. It broke our hearts, to see you go, But we must tell the world we love you so. You were our lives, how much you meant, You came so quick, but how quick you went. Now all our dreams, have turned to tears, And how will we miss, your growing years. But though our lives are full of pain Your short presence here, was not in vain. We need you to know, how much we care, We have a heaven, and we will see you there. Toni, Darren send their love to you, and of course mam and dad do too. In fact Richard, all who love you stare up above and send you their undying love. And that is how it shall remain Till the day we meet, with you again. Cos your the best thing, we ever had. It broke our hearts, signed mum and Dad Written by Terry "B" This year 17th July Richard would have been 30 and we would like to celebrate his life by giving to the Meningitis Trust. Always loved and never forgotten. Mum xx
